In addition to its regular meetings, the Great Lakes Radio Club Inc. carries out or arranges for participation in various activities on behalf of its members.

These include:

• assistance with training for amateur licences;
• assisting Scouts in the Jamboree On The Air and Jamboree on the Internet;
• social events at local venues;
• working bees at repeater sites;
• visits to neighbouring clubs’ field days.

Assistance with Training.

Although the Great Lakes Radio Club does not receive sufficient requests for training for Operator’s Certificate examinations to warrant conducting classes, it can suggest larger centres where these are available, recommend reference and correspondence course sources, and offer help on an individual basis.
